donations

On September 25, I set up a donation campaign to ask for money for the shelter. At the end of the 2 months my friends and family donated an amazing amount.

I want to thank all these people that donated, small or big. It all helped me so much with the care of the cats!

Food

1 bag of dry food costs 8,-. We can feed 3x 40 cats with this. We have already been able to buy 12 bags.

Every evening we bought 1 can of wet food for 1.25 euro. We gave this to the underweight or vulnerable cats such as Hope, Bella, Goldie & the 4 kittens.

Toys & beds

My mother brought a lot of stuff from the Netherlands:

- 15 small toys (fake mice, balls), play rod and lasers, play tunnel, sleeping basket, 3 sleeping mats, blankets, skateboard for scratching nails, tube for scratching nails, XL bag of sweets

Kittenpowder

Because kitten powder is not available in Dahab, we bought and brought it from the Netherlands.

We gave them10 cans of powder and 2 boxes of baby bottles.

Cattree

We took the tree from the garden. The wood is financed with donations. We were able to turn it into a beautiful climbing tree, in which they can enjoy all day long.

Sleephouse

To have a strong foundation, we had to purchase a lot of wood. In addition, we also bought the paint from the donations.

All devices and screws used are from the shelter itself.

Laundry service

Because it is very dusty due to the desert environment, anything containing cotton gets dirty quickly. Also to make Hope as comfortable as possible, we had to wash the blankets often. We paid 200LE (10 euros) per 1,5 - 2 weeks.
